Amanda arrived on the 4th October from Dundrum due to complications after her mum gave birth. Usually the afterbirth falls away from the pup within a few hours of birth but Amanda was still attached after 48 hours. It was very important to remove this as her umbilical cord was not healing how it should so she was admitted to Exploris. Amanda has been leaps and bounds ahead of the other seals when it came to her development. She had teeth at just a couple of days old and shed her white hair after just 12 days (it should be around 21). Amanda can be seen with Ophelia in the hospital pens while the girls learn how to eat fish.
