Do things go bump in the aquarium at night?
Well now is your chance to find out with our new alternative night out – Night at the Aquarium!
Your evening will include a delicious 3 course meal prepared with fresh locally sourced ingredients in our fully licensed Craken Restaurant, overlooking our Seal Rehabilitation ponds. (Beers, Wines and Spirits available)
Prior to or after dining, you will start your guided tour with one of our animal experts around Northern Ireland’s only aquarium.
Your guide led experience will allow you to delve deep into the UK water – which although people may find dark, grey and boring, it is the home to thousands of species, which in respect to local waters over 2000 species have been recorded!
After exploring the waters around you, you will be welcomed into our tropical beaches, where you will see displays of fish from all around the world. You’ll be wowed with our large ocean tank featuring our white tip reef shark (who never comes out during the day) various other interesting inhabitants, including JC the rescued Loggerhead Sea turtle, before visiting our seal sanctuary to hear about the important rehabilitation work, we do with sick and injured seal pups.
No visit to the aquarium is complete without saying hello to our resident Nile Crocodile “Sobek” in his new home, before entering the dark depths of the rainforest filled with snakes, geckos, Iguanas & dragons. If your feeling brave enough, you will have the opportunity to have a meet and greet with one of our wonderful reptilian friends.
